Digby Road trip!

Hello Digbyholics!

Just this weekend I went on a road trip with my family, which I just got back from this afternoon. Also, as some of you guys may already know, my brother recently ‘came out’ as a Digbyholic. Well this story is about my experience with him this weekend! ;) Here it goes!!

While on the road, my parents were listening to their own music which was very similar to elevator music. Eek!  This entire experience is what made my brother and I realize why elevator music is called elevator music.  Not because it’s “soothing”, but it’s because it’s only tolerable for a very short period of time (ie. The period of time someone spends in an elevator)!  It was giving me a headache.  So at this time we both decided to whip out our iPods.  About fifteen minutes into the trip, my brother’s iPod died and he looked like he was ready to suddenly open the car door and do a barrel roll out to avoid the torturous music.  With me, being the ‘good’ sister asked if him if he wanted to borrow mine for the mean time because I had my laptop with me that I could listen off of.  So there we were pulling out our headphones and switching our ‘musical gadgets’.

We finally got to our destination and we went straight to the mall.  Like most guys, my brother isn’t much of a shopper so he just followed me around while I made my way through the racks of clothes, weaving through the narrow aisles.  I was sliding hangers and I hear someone singing behind me under their breath, “Tell me where you’ve been hiding? Oh I want to know, you’re my silver lining covered in gold…”.  I turn around and look at my brother with a smirk.

Brother:  What are YOU looking at?

Nicole:  Haha. Nothing. So uhh… what else have you been listening to on my iPod?

Brother:  That song and some other stuff…

Nicole: THAT song?  What song?

Brother: You know… I don’t know the title! (sings it really fast) Tell me where you’ve been hiding?
Oh I want to know, You’re my silver lining covered in gold, Tell me what am I feeling?, Well it’s hard to explain, Like underwater breathing, swimming in… (shouts) BREATHING UNDERWATER!!! That’s the title!!!

At this point, two ladies a rack or two away from us are looking at us like we have issues… awkward.

Nicole: You’re so loud! Shh! Look they think you’re weird now, loser. Haha.  As if you know lyrics too! :P

Brother: Woops. Haha. So what?

Nicole: Nooooothing. ;)

Eventually we checked into our hotel.  We had a bunch of things we had to bring into the room.  I didn’t want to carry the really big suitcase in because it was too heavy so I asked my brother to do it (I told you I was a ‘good’ sister haha :P ), which triggered a slight argument.

Brother: Ugh NO! YOU do it!

Nicole: Fine, then give me my iPod back!

Brother: Ugh… fine! I’ll carry it!

Nicole: Hah!! That’s right.

Brother: Shut up. Go write your own “Symphony”.

Nicole: uhh…  what the..?

Brother: Yea you heard me. Go write your own Symphony.

Nicole: No YOU write your own symphony and carry that suitcase while you’re at it!

Brother: No YOU write one!

Nicole:  Fine! Just carry the bag and hurry up! Oh and I’m only writing a symphony because Marie Digby told me so, not because you did.

Brother: You’re a loser.

Nicole: Sorry I didn’t hear that… “SAY IT AGAIN”?! Haha!

Brother: Go “Breathe Underwater “and don’t “Come to Life” again!

Nicole: Whoa! Harsh! That was “Overboard”!

Brother: Okay okay! You win!!

Nicole: That’s right! See, carrying those bags “Should’ve Been Simple” if you didn’t complain in the first place.

Brother: I SAID YOU WIN OKAY?!  Stop it!

30 minutes later… we’ve already settled down in the hotel and were watching TV.

Brother: OH OH!!

Nicole: What?

Brother: You can’t make me carry the heavy bags all the time because I’m not a “Machine”!

Nicole: Haha. Lame-oh.

Brother: Hahaha. Nevermind… that one sucked.

Nicole: Just a bit…. :P

We all know how Marie becomes a part of our lives and how MDD has the tendency to spread. Whether if we’re young or old, or whether we appear insane to random shoppers or not.

True Story!  :)

Signing off.     *Nicole*

It’s that time of the week!  I have another cover here for you all by Daniel, who absolutely loves the song “Feel” and because Marié is his favorite musician on YouTube, he decided to kick off his very own YouTube channel with a cover of one of her songs.  ENJOY!  :)

I would also like to give a special shoutout to Ruth Anna, who was once chosen for this segment of Digbyholics Got Talent singing “Breathing Underwater.”  This time, she came back doing a cover of Marié’s unreleased song, “Where Do I Go” because she felt that she can relate to it.  If you would like to check that out too, click here.  :)

Lastly, have you bought tickets to see Marié at Kollaboration yet?  For more information, click here.  :)

Well, that is all, lovely Digbyholics!  Have a wonderful weekend!  :)

It’s that time of the week Digbyholics!

This week, we have two lovely ladies, Keiko and Beige, singing a cover of “Say It Again” during a freshmen orientation.  They were bored and had nothing to do, so why not pull out a guitar and have a little fun?!  :)

Keiko does other covers on her YouTube page, and if you would like to check them out, click here.

Other than that, have a wonderful weekend and ENJOY!  :)
